Emma at The Joint Clinic is an Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner, qualifying in 1999 with a Bsc (Hons) degree in
Physiotherapy. She has progressed her skills over the years to include a Diploma in Orthopaedic
Medicine and Injection Therapy, she is an Independent Prescriber and CASE accredited
Ultrasonographer. She has worked alongside the Orthopaedic Consultants and GP’s across West
Yorkshire providing treatment of joint and soft tissue complaints. She is registered with the
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).
Emma is also an injection therapy tutor for Medical Skills Courses which are accredited by the Royal
College of GP’s.
The Joint Clinic will be providing assessment and treatment of joint and soft tissue problems. They
use Ultrasound for diagnosis and administer corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections for
management of pain when required. Injections can be guided using ultrasound to ensure correct
placement of the drugs.
The Joint Clinic aims to help people live a more active and pain free life.
